Royal Redeemer Lutheran School

Lunch Information

Welcome to Royal Redeemer Lutheran School’s Hot Lunch Program.  It is very simple to use.  Each student will receive a bar code lunch card.

USDA is an equal employer and provider.

  1.  How much does it cost? They will have the option to purchase a milk (.50¢) or hot lunch ($3.00) each day.  When the lunch is purchased the student will drop their card in either the milk only box or the Hot Lunch box.  Then the Lunch Ladies will scan the card after lunch.  The card can only be scanned once a day.  The teacher will hand the student the card every day if they are buying, and the cards are returned to the teacher at the end of the day.
  2. How do I put money on my account?  Each family at RRLS has an account in the Pocket Lunch Program.  You may deposit a check -- $30.00 for 10 lunches or $60.00 for 20 lunches; if you student will only purchase a milk — $5.00 for 10 milks.  The checks may go through the student’s book bag marked “Lunch Program” and the Lunch Ladies will enter the check amount into your family account.  We do not collect monies daily.
  3. How will I know what my balance is?  We send weekly email notices to you.  Or if you don’t have an email account, a notice will go home bimonthly.
  4. What’s for lunch?  The weekly school newsletter—the Countdown has the Weekly menu or check the web site: download the Countdown here.
